Description
To meet the expectations of the most demanding music lovers who pay particular attention to the final result of their audio system, and who devote a significant part of their leisure time to listening to music, we have created the X-A1200 monophonic power amplifier.
The X-A1200 amplifier immediately commands respect, both for its musical performance and its sober, luxurious appearance. A monophonic amplifier is the ideal solution for enhancing the overall performance of a hi-fi system.
This principle prohibits any interaction of the power supply circuits and amplifier stages between the left and right channels. The high-power power supply can be described as "oversized". This term is not misused, due to the size of the mono block, its compartmentalized design and its power electronics based on a 1,000 VA toroidal transformer, two power diode bridges mounted on a large heatsink and 12 capacitors of 10,000 μF each, i.e. 120,000 μF.
Combined with the 10 "very high current" power transistors (NJW0281G - NJW0302G), this power supply enables the X-A1200 amplifier to deliver 450 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms and over 700 W RMS into 4Ω.
A switch on the rear of the unit enables the X-A1200 to deliver the first Watts in class A (High Bias mode). Beyond this power level, the switchover to class AB takes place automatically and progressively.
The robust design of the chassis makes it rigid, even when the perforated steel cover is removed. The interior is compartmentalized, which not only increases rigidity, but also provides galvanic isolation between the various sub-assemblies, which are installed in a highly rational manner.
