The UX1 is at once a network player, a DAC, a CD player, a PC/MAC player via its asynchronous USB-B X-MOS input, and a DAB/DAB+ and FM digital tuner.

Particular attention has been paid to the audio output stage and decoding. Signal conversion is handled by AKM's AK4490 converter.
The AK4490 is part of a new generation of high-end 32-bit DACs based on AKM's VELVET SOUND architecture, which has been widely adopted by established high-end audio companies. This technology delivers quality sonic detail thanks to its low-distortion architecture, in addition to 32-bit resolution digital filter processing.
The AK4490 supports up to 768 kHz PCM and 11.2 MHz DSD (Direct Stream Digital), suitable for playback of high-resolution audio sources. Five digital filters are integrated into the DAC to optimize sound reproduction.
The AK4490EQ is ideally suited to the conversion of high-resolution sound sources, which the UX1 masters perfectly.
Combined with our audio stage, this low-distortion DAC (-112dB based on a signal-to-noise ratio of over 120dB) will increase your listening pleasure tenfold!
The UX1's network player lets you manage streaming services (Spotify, Qobuz...), several thousand local, national and worldwide radio stations, and play your music library stored locally on your computer or network drive. Airplay and DLNA compatible.
You can control your network player via the ADVANCE PLAYSTREAM application, downloadable from the AppStore and Google Play.
The UX1 features a CD player incorporating the latest generation of Tamul servo technology for stable, high-quality CD playback. The solution employed combines a 16-bit processor and a 24-bit DSP. It supports CD, CD-R/RW and CD-DA (MP3/WMA) playback.
Our universal source is also equipped with a USB-B X-MOS input for direct connection of your PC or MAC computer. This 32-bit / 8-core asynchronous "high-speed" input enables playback of all file types up to DSD.
The UX1 acts as a DAC, with 3 optical and 2 coaxial inputs.
What's more, our player has both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) analog stereo outputs, as well as two optical and coaxial digital outputs.
The UX1 incorporates a BDD (Bluetooth Direct Digital) port for connection of our X-FTB 01 digital Bluetooth receiver. This receiver is APTX-compliant, ensuring CD quality on all your sources.
