Description
Compact power
The BX1 is a power amplifier that can be combined with our AX1, DX1 or PX1.
This amplifier, rated at 2x105W into 8 Ohms, will drive the majority of loudspeakers on the market, thanks to its versatility, neutrality and dynamic range. You'll appreciate the aesthetics and ergonomics of its transparent methacrylate front panel with white or black background, matched only by the overall design and layout of the various sub-assemblies inside the cabinet.
Our BX1 features cinch (unbalanced) or XLR (balanced) connectors, switchable by means of a small switch. The BX1 incorporates a High Bias function, enabling the amplifier to deliver the first few watts in a class-A mode. Beyond that, the amplifier operates in class AB. The internal structure is based on compartments, ensuring mechanical rigidity and shielding of the various components, starting with the 480VA toroidal transformer. The rectified current flows through four 6800uF capacitors at 63V. The power stages are ensured by a battery of Toshiba transistors renowned for their audio quality. The listening experience is neutral and transparent, characterized by excellent power handling. The bass is well-structured and held without heaviness, and the midrange shows a particularly endearing attention to detail, with detailed reproduction of voices and complex timbres. The highs are not to be outdone, with an absence of aggressiveness and great finesse.
The BX1 features a speaker terminal block for connecting up to two pairs of speakers.
